“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28, 18-20
The last promise that Jesus gave His disciples before leaving Earth was that they would receive the strength to tell people all round the world about Him. Shortly before that He gave them the mission to go to all peoples and to make disciples – to continue the work that He had begun and to give people access to the kingdom of God.
We at Calvary Chapel Wiesbaden see this as instruction to us also- it is our mission too! We want to contribute to our city, our community and our country and finally the whole world hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. To do so we support missionary organisations and missionaries financially and in prayer. For example we support Family Jost currently in Bolivia and Family Sindel working in South East Asia. Similarly, we are supporting the Strümpler Family as they are preparing themselves to go on the mission field, and Timo Westermann who will be working as a doctor in Tanzania.
EMO (evangelical middle East ministries) Wiesbaden
We work together and support the missionary work of EMO on multiple levels such as through prayer and financially so we would like to briefly introduce EMO and their work. For more information visit http://www.emo-wiesbaden.de/ .
The EMO is an internationally operating Christian organisation. It brings Oriental people into contact with the love of God both in their countries and in Germany. They invite them into the life changing relationship to Jesus Christ. At the moment they are working in Egypt and Germany and have contacts to other countries in the region.
OM (Operation Mobilisation e.V.) Germany
The German branch of OM was founded in 1972 as Operation Mobilisation e. V. (OM). As an international, nondenominational organisation, OM Germany works together with the Evangelical Alliance, is a member of the working group for evangelical missions (AEM), is part of the netzwerk-m and has signed the self-commitment declaration of the Initiative Transparente Zivigesellschaft. OM wants to enable missions in Germany, mobilise and equip for them. We particularly support Achim Schneider working in Mosbach in the area of public relations and are praying for a growing prayer team and financial support.
