The church is led by senior pastor Robin Rudisile together with the elder team. They are supported by two out-of-town pastors.

The leadership team oversees all ministries and areas of service. These are largely self-governing and organized with a great deal of freedom and personal responsibility.

There is no formal, written membership. However, staff and volunteer coworkers in particular carry a special responsibility before the church. Anyone who calls Calvary Chapel their home church is a member and belongs here.

Yes, usually.

Almost all sermons are given bilingually, since Calvary Chapel Wiesbaden is an international church. Although most attendees are bilingual, there are also some valued people who speak only German.

On the other hand, we are greatly blessed by the presence of our American brothers and sisters who are stationed in Wiesbaden. In addition, many foreign brothers and sisters who do not (yet) speak German also find their way to our church. That’s why we currently have a bilingual service.

We believe that a mature, believing, and born-again person should be baptized by immersion. This is called believer’s baptism. For this reason, we do not perform infant baptism. However, no one who was baptized as a child is required to be baptized again. Baptism is an act of obedience by each individual before God.

The work of Calvary Chapel Wiesbaden is funded entirely through voluntary donations, mainly from local church members.

Churches belonging to the Calvary Chapel movement are non-denominational and largely self-governing at the local level. Smaller churches are supported by larger ones. A list of Calvary Chapels in Germany can be found here: www.calvarychapel.de.

“Calvary” comes from the Latin word “calvariae,” Hebrew “Golgota,” which translates to “skull.” In English, it is the common term for Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified. “Chapel” is likewise an English term, derived from “capella,” which translates to “meeting room.”
